Her background includes over 30 years of extensive experience in global treasury operations and risk management for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Ayer provides high level leadership and consultative support to the executive team to monitor and manage the execution of high-priority initiatives, operational improvements, and efficiencies across the organization. She also has served three terms as an elected school board member in Maine. Ayer attended Northern Virginia Community College and Southern New Hampshire University earning her degree in Accounting.
