David Baldwin

David Baldwin is the current Managing Director of the Middle East for Cognita Schools Group. David has held this position for 4 years, and prior to that they were the Director of Education and Assistant Director of Education for Cognita Schools. In their role as Managing Director, David is responsible for sharing expertise, insights and best practice across the Cognita family of schools in order to create an inspiring world of education. David is also a member of the BSME Executive Committee, a voluntary role they have held for 1 year and 6 months.

Prior to their work with Cognita, David was the Principal/Headteacher of Horizon English School for 3 years and 1 month. David was also the Vice Principal and Deputy Head Teacher of GEMS Jumeirah Primary School for 6 years and 11 months, where they were responsible for leading on strategic school improvement and self-review with the school's senior team. In addition, David has also taught Physical Education for many years and was the Head of Physical Education at GEMS Jumeirah Primary School.

David Baldwin has a Bachelor of Science from Sheffield Hallam University and a degree in Physical Education with QTS from The City School, Sheffield.
