Bayron David Alvarez Rodriguez

Bayron David Alvarez Rodriguez has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. In 2014, they began their professional journey at ExxonMobil as a Laboratory Analyst. During their time there, they developed, calibrated, and validated data science methods, managed risk assessment and training, and wrote reports following safety guidelines provided by the company.

In 2015, Bayron joined LatinHire Tutores Online as a Science and Math Master Level Tutor. In this role, they taught subjects such as Chemistry, Trigonometry, Algebra, Pre-calculus, and Microsoft Excel to US students in both English and Spanish.

In 2021, Bayron worked as an Msc Thesis Intern at Fedepalma.

Currently, Bayron is employed at Cognite starting from May 2022 as a Data Engineer II and Lead Data Engineer. Bayron David collaborates with teams from Norway, USA, Brazil, and Argentina on various projects. Their responsibilities include developing team solutions using Azure, Python, SQL, and GitHub. Additionally, they develop REST API consumption solutions using Postman and Python.

Bayron David Alvarez Rodriguez completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Universidad Nacional de Colombia from 2005 to 2011. After that, they pursued a Master's degree in Chemical Technology with a focus on Energy Management and Systems Technology at AGH University of Krakow from 2019 to 2020. Bayron David further enhanced their education by obtaining an MSc in Energy Engineering and Management with a specialization in Energy Management and Systems Technology from Instituto Superior Técnico from 2020 to 2021. Additionally, Bayron obtained various certifications, including ones in Tensorflow, SQL, machine learning, and project management.
