Carlos Lopes Pereira

Carlos Lopes Pereira has extensive work experience in the field of information security and engineering. Carlos began their career in 2004 as an Engineer at Portugal Telecom, where they conducted requirements analysis and coordinated development and deployment of operational support systems. Carlos later worked as an Information Security Engineer at Portugal Telecom, where they conducted penetration testing, implemented SSL/TLS reverse proxies, and provided security guidance to web developers.

In 2013, Carlos joined Conax as a Senior Software Security Engineer, where they designed and developed software hardening measures and DRM solutions for iOS and Android devices. Carlos also served as a Scrum Master during their time at Conax.

In 2016, Carlos moved to Telenor Digital as an Information Security Engineer, where they continued to work on information security initiatives.

Carlos is currently employed at Cognite AS as a Senior Information Security Engineer.

Carlos Lopes Pereira's education history includes a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Information Technology with a focus on Information Security, obtained from Carnegie Mellon University in 2010-2011. Carlos also pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Information Security from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa during the same time period. Before these master's degrees, Carlos completed a Licenciatura degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, which ended in 2003. Additionally, Carlos has obtained certifications such as GPEN from GIAC Certifications in March 2017 and Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in December 2013.
