Carolina Torres has extensive work experience in the energy industry. Carolina is currently the Executive Director of Energy Industry Transformation at Cognite, a position they have held since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked at BP for over 20 years, holding various roles of increasing responsibility. At BP, they served as the Digital Transformation CPO, Subsurface and Wells, where they were responsible for implementing BP's digital transformation strategy for subsurface and wells. Carolina also led the Unlocking Recovery Program, which transformed BP's investment decisions in field development and reservoir management. Additionally, Carolina led the development of the Atlantis Field in the Deep Water Gulf of Mexico and managed a team of geoscientists and reservoir engineers. Before their tenure at BP, Carolina worked as a Geologist at Arco International Exploration, where they gained experience in various international locations. Overall, Carolina has demonstrated deep expertise in digital transformation, reservoir management, and field development in the energy industry.

Carolina Torres obtained a Bachelor's degree in Geology from the University of South Carolina, where they studied Geoscience from 1989 to 1992. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Geology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, specializing in the field of Geology from 1984 to 1987. Furthermore, Carolina attended San Francisco State University from 1981 to 1984, focusing on Geology, Anthropology, and Film, although they did not complete a degree during this period.
