Christian Nærup Børke

Christian Nærup Børke has a diverse work experience in the energy and technology sectors. Christian Nærup is currently the Director of Strategic Customer Development at Cognite, a global industrial SaaS company. In this role, they lead larger strategic engagements with key customers within Grid, Power, and Renewables.

Prior to this, Christian worked as a Project Manager at Cognite, focusing on grid, offshore wind, and renewables projects. Christian Nærup contributed to the development and implementation of software solutions for oil and gas, power and utilities, renewable energy, manufacturing, and other asset-heavy industries.

Christian also has entrepreneurial experience as the Co-Founder and CEO of Straumr, a Micro SaaS company. Straumr offers benchmarking and investment analysis tools for the grid industry, and has successfully served over 30 DSOs in Norway.

Earlier in their career, Christian worked as a Consultant at AFRY, where they provided management consulting and advisory services in the Power, Utilities, and Renewables sector. Christian Nærup focused on areas such as strategy, business development, regulatory and economic analysis, and M&A.

Before joining AFRY, Christian worked as a Management Consultant at ADAPT Consulting, where they specialized in Grid, Utility, and Renewables projects. Christian Nærup provided expertise in strategy, finance, business development, and the energy sector.

Christian also gained experience as a Business Development Intern at eSmart Systems, where they contributed to the development and delivery of software solutions for powerline inspections, grid maintenance planning, and energy flexibility optimization.

Lastly, Christian worked part-time as a Customer Consultant at Sbanken, a Norwegian online bank, where they provided customer service support.

Christian Nærup Børke completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in 2015. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Energy, Natural Resources and the Environment (ENE) from the same institution, which they successfully completed in 2017.
