Christoffer Lange

Principal Product Designer at Cognite

Christoffer Lange has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of user experience design and industrial design. Christoffer started their career as an Interaction Design Intern at the Institute for Energy Technology in 2008 and 2009. Christoffer then worked as an Industrial Designer at ULSTEIN in 2010, contributing to the Ulstein Bridge Vision project and forming the Ocean Industries Concept Lab.

In 2010, Christoffer joined Bouvet ASA as a User Experience Designer. Christoffer later became a Senior Designer at Halogen in 2012, specializing in design for safety critical systems and working on projects for Norwegian Defense Research Establishment (FFI) and Kongsberg Defense and Aerospace.

From 2017 to 2018, Christoffer worked as a User Experience Architect at REMA 1000 i Norge, focusing on retail solutions and service innovation. Christoffer then joined Cognite AS in 2018 as a Senior Designer, responsible for the user experience of the Cognite InField product, which won the 2020 Red Dot Award for Interface Design. Christoffer was later promoted to Principal Designer, leading the user experience of Cognite products and contributing to strategic decisions.

In 2022, Christoffer had a one-year secondment from Cognite to work as a Principal Designer at CNTXT, where they played a key role in establishing a joint venture providing digital transformation and cloud services for the industrial sector in the MENA region.

Throughout their career, Christoffer has demonstrated their ability to lead and oversee product design, conduct extensive research, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and innovate user-centric solutions.

Christoffer Lange obtained their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Østfold University College (HiØ) from 2005 to 2008. Christoffer later pursued a Master's degree in Industrial Design from The Oslo School of Architecture and Design from 2008 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Christoffer obtained a certification in "Dieter Rams: Principles of Good Design" from LinkedIn in January 2021.
