Dr. Alexander Gleim

Dr. Alexander Gleim has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Dr. Alexander currently works at Cognite, where they have held multiple senior positions since 2018. Their roles at Cognite include Senior Director Global Go To Market, Senior Director Strategic Alliances, and Head of Power & Utilities - Industry Solutions. Prior to Cognite, Dr. Gleim worked at NorwAI as a Work Package Leader - Data & Platform for AI. Dr. Alexander also has experience as a Senior Data Scientist at Statkraft. Dr. Gleim started their career as a Research Fellow at The University of Bonn, where they developed theoretical frameworks and prediction algorithms for analyzing time series and implemented robust Monte Carlo samplers for high-dimensional Bayesian inference.

Dr. Alexander Gleim holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mathematical Statistics and Probability, which they obtained from The University of Bonn in 2014. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Mathematics at the University of Cambridge in 2011. In 2009, they were a visiting graduate student at the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied Mathematics and Statistics. Dr. Alexander also holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Mathematics from The University of Bonn, completed in 2008.
