Håkon Flatval

Håkon Flatval has a diverse range of work experience. Håkon started their career as a Student Teaching Assistant at NTNU in 2016, where they taught Python and Java to students while reviewing their coursework. Håkon then worked at Ascend NTNU as a Perception Engineer and Group Leader from 2015 to 2017. In this role, they developed computer vision algorithms and coordinated work within their team.

Håkon also gained experience as a Web Developer at Studentmediene i Trondheim AS from 2015 to 2017. Håkon worked on front-end and back-end development projects using frameworks such as React, React Native, and NodeJS.

In 2014, Håkon worked as an Engineering Summer Intern at Forsvarets forskningsinstitutt - FFI. From 2017 to 2018, they served as a Student Teaching Assistant at NTNU, where they continued their teaching responsibilities in IT introduction and Object Oriented Programming.

Håkon's most recent role was as a Summer Engineering Intern at CERN in 2019.

Currently, they are working as a Graduate Software Engineer at Cognite AS, starting in September 2020.

Håkon Flatval has a comprehensive education history. Håkon completed their Artium degree at Kristelig Gymnasium from 2012 to 2015, with a focus on Realfag. From 2015 to 2020, they pursued their Master's degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering, with a specialization in Data Engineering, at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). As part of their studies, Håkon also undertook an exchange visit to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2018 to 2019, also concentrating on Data Engineering.
