Jan Inge Bergseth

Jan Inge Bergseth has over 24 years of work experience, starting in 1994 as a Consultant at Accenture. From 2000 to 2008, they worked at Fast Search Transfer, initially in their R&D department on search core and later as a Principal Solutions Engineer. In 2008, they joined Microsoft as a Senior Architect, focusing on enterprise social solutions with SharePoint and Yammer. Jan Inge worked in various Architect roles at Microsoft until 2017 when they joined Cognite AS as a Senior Principal Solution Architect. In their current role, they are responsible for onboarding customers successfully, including application, data source, and solution integrations. Jan Inge'sexpertise includes infrastructure architecture, extractors/connectors development, and API integration using SQL, Java, and Python.

Jan Inge Bergseth obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1993. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same university in 1992. Before attending the University of Colorado Boulder, Jan Inge Bergseth studied at Gjøvik University College (HiG) from 1988 to 1991, earning an Engineer degree in Computer Science. In 1986, they attended the Royal Air force officer school and became a Second Lieutenant, although no field of study is specified.

In addition to their formal education, Jan Inge Bergseth also holds several certifications. Jan Inge obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in July 2020. Other certifications include R Programming, The Data Scientist’s Toolbox, Introduction to Recommender Systems, Introduction to Data Science, and Social Network Analysis, which were all obtained from Coursera between 2013 and 2015. Jan Inge Bergseth also obtained various Microsoft certifications, including MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional in April 2012, and MCTS: SharePoint 2010, Configuration in May 2011, and MCTS: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, Configuration in March 2010.
