He is proficient in examining patent applications related to enzymes and their genes, designed metabolic pathways and host cells thereof, peptides, three dimensional structures of proteins as well as methods of their use to identify modulators of protein activity.

He has had extensive hands-on experience in biochemical research including organic synthesis, physical organic chemistry, design of enzyme inhibitors, chemical and enzymatic kinetics, and chromatographic and spectroscopic methods and is skillful in drafting and editing manuscripts for publication in peer reviewed journals.
