Jared Travnicek's work experience began in 2003 as a Veterinary Illustrator at Iowa State University School of Veterinary Medicine. In 2005, they worked as an Illustrator at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine, creating illustrations for a book cover on neural stem cell research. Jared then joined Rolin Graphics Inc. as an Illustrator from 2005 to 2007, where they created illustrations in various subjects and designed layouts for textbooks and pamphlets. From 2008 to 2008, Jared worked as a Biological Illustrator at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. Jared then moved to Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine in 2009, where they served as a Medical Illustrator until 2013. Most recently, in 2014, they became the Associate Director of Science Storytelling at Cognition Studio, Inc.
Jared Travnicek holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Medical Illustration from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, which they completed from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biological and Pre-Medical Illustration from Iowa State University, where they studied from 1999 to 2004. However, their education history does not provide information on their high school education from Kennedy High School. In addition to their formal education, Jared Travnicek has also obtained a certification in Animation Bootcamp from the School of Motion in October 2017.
