Pilar Gómez (she/her)

Pilar Gómez is a seasoned Search Engineer at Cognizant Netcentric since January 2021, with a robust background in academia and research. Previously, Pilar served as a Research Associate in the Journalism Department at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from March 2005 to January 2021, focusing on the application of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in journalism. Pilar also contributed as an Adjunct Lecturer for the Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, covering topics such as Fundamentals of Engineering and overseeing final engineering degree projects. Earlier roles include a Research Assistant emphasizing High Performance Computing, an R&D Software Engineer at Biosystems S.A., an IT Consultant at MATCHMIND, and an IT Support Responsible at PIONEER OPTICAL DISC EUROPE.
