Edwar Zapata

Eddie Zapata has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Edwar (Eddie) currently serves as the Director of Strategic Capture at Cognosante, a position they have held since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at GovernmentCIO from 2020 to 2022, where they held the roles of Capture Manager and Customer Solutions Architect. Eddie also worked at CACI International Inc from 2017 to 2020, where they served in various capacities, including Business-IT Innovator and Senior Enterprise Architect. Additionally, they worked at Blue Arc, LLC as a Senior System Engineer for a brief period in 2017. Earlier in their career, Eddie worked at Cask, LLC as an IT-Business Management Consultant from 2011 to 2017. Prior to transitioning to the private sector, they served in the United States Marine Corps for 20 years, holding various roles including Marine Officer - IT Manager and Senior Enterprise Architect.

Eddie Zapata has a demonstrated history of education in computer science and electrical engineering. Edwar (Eddie) obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School from 2005 to 2007, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago from 1997 to 2001. In addition to their degrees, Eddie has also obtained several certifications in fields such as project management, business analysis, consulting, and ITIL foundation.
