Kelsie Mozzoni LaBarbera

Kelsie Mozzoni LaBarbera has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2011, they began their career at Cognition Therapeutics, Inc. where they held multiple positions. Kelsie started as a Research Associate, conducting experiments and analyzing data for the company's discovery and pre-clinical programs. Later, they became a Senior Research Associate, focusing on the development of small molecule therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases. In 2017, Kelsie transitioned into the role of Project Manager, overseeing various programs including grant submissions, discovery, and pre-clinical development. Kelsie also played the dual role of a Research Scientist, planning and conducting experiments related to compound mechanisms. In 2019, Kelsie was promoted to Head of Project Management: Discovery/Preclinical Engine, where they trained and supervised a team of scientists, ensuring the timely execution of tasks and meeting project deadlines. Kelsie further advanced to the position of Project Manager, Development Program, before their current role as Senior Manager, CMC and Program Management. Outside of Cognition Therapeutics, Kelsie also worked as a Skimmbassador for theSkimm, a role that contributed to their diverse skill set. In their early career, they gained experience as a Student Athletic Trainer at Allegheny College, providing support to various sports teams and assisting certified Athletic Trainers. Kelsie also worked as a Research Intern during their time at the college.
