Job Title: Associate, Client Reporting

Department: Investment Administration – Client Reporting

Reports To: Vice President, Client Reporting

FLSA Code: Non-Exempt

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $85,000

Job Summary:

Responsibilities will include support of all aspects of creation, quality control and timely distribution of global institutional client and shareholder reporting and firm’s marketing materials. Supporting the team to address and define any changes in reporting requirements. Support the management, oversight, and maintenance of reporting on new accounts and funds. This role is a balance of production support and project responsibilities and will be expected to work closely with all levels and departments of the firm, Fund Manager, Sales, Product and Marketing Teams, Relationship Management, Legal & Compliance, and IT. Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Standard and Custom Reporting
    • Facilitate and service the reporting needs of the firm's institutional client and shareholder account base, which includes working with US and global offices to address the specific reporting requests of internal and external clients and marketing materials.
    • Support of all aspects of creation, analysis, verification and distribution of global institutional client and shareholder reporting and firm’s marketing materials.
    • Ensure data integrity of all standardized and customized reporting.
    • Create thoughtful solutions (manual and/or automated) to support customized client report deliverables, while adhering to the global standards.
    • Ensure timely deliverables of all reports.
    • Resolve data reporting issues and exercise judgment to escalate issues to senior management as needed.
    • Review and update procedures.
  • Other Reporting
    • Assist in collaborating on projects which could entail: the implementation of new reporting requirements, development of new workflows for the suite of reporting for institutional and shareholder clients and marketing materials.
    • Participate in testing and implementation of client reporting requirements.
    • Assist in maintaining reporting templates.
    • Facilitate the life cycle of ad-hoc requests.
    • Support workflow for managing the creation of client and firm reporting, i.e. fund factsheet, custom client and internal reporting.
    • Support process for on-boarding new reports and assist supporting a database of all reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 0-3 years related industry experience.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and outstanding attention to detail is a must.
  • Advance knowledge in the usage of Microsoft Excel and proficient in all other Office products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well within all levels of an organization and as part of the team.
  • Demonstrates inclusive behaviors in support of a culture that values diverse perspectives.
  • Ability to problem solve & troubleshoot independently.

Beneficial Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of client reporting applications, Vermilion Reporting Solution would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of Japanese client reporting and language would be a plus.
  • Industry knowledge of global institutional client reporting & marketing type materials, i.e., factsheets.
  • Knowledge of investment products.
  • Knowledge of the mutual fund industry, broker/dealer and investment advisor community.
  • Understanding of financial securities information.
  • Familiarity with investment management agreements.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to set priorities effectively.
