Martin Kon

Martin Kon has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Martin is currently the President & COO at Cohere since 2023. Prior to that, they served as an Advisory Board Member at Akkadian Ventures starting in 2022. At YouTube, they held several roles including CFO (aka Business Finance Officer) from 2021 to 2023, VP, Global Strategy, Business Operations & Analytics from 2020 to 2021, and VP, Global Strategy from 2019 to 2020. Martin also worked at Google as a Business Finance Officer for YouTube from 2021 to 2023.

Martin's earlier career includes positions at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where they were a Senior Partner & Managing Director in 2019 and a Partner & Managing Director from 2015 to 2019. Martin also worked at Oliver Wyman, where they held various roles including Partner, Co-Head of Global Communications, Media & Technology Practice from 2003 to 2015, Principal from 2000 to 2003, Senior Associate from 1999 to 2000, and Associate from 1996 to 1999. Martin started their professional journey with an Executive Development Program at Bosch from 1993 to 1995, preceded by a Management Internship in 1991.

Martin Kon attended Upper Canada College from 1985 to 1989 for their secondary education. After completing their secondary education, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree at McGill University from 1989 to 1993. Following their bachelor's degree, they furthered their education at Queen's University and obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from 1995 to 1996.
