Samphe Ballamingie

Samphe Ballamingie has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2019, they worked as a Film Director for the Mobile Film Festival and received an award for their short film. In 2020, they served as a Creative Director for June & Valentina, where they conceptualized and created promotional content. Additionally, they worked as a Creative Director for We Are Craftsmen and as a Video Editor for Gater Studios Inc.

In 2021, Samphe freelanced as a Writer for The Breach Media and Dazed Media. Samphe also hosted and edited a podcast and web series for the Digi60 Filmmakers' Festival, where they moderated a panel on International Womxn's Day.

Moving on to 2022, Samphe worked as a Freelance Writer, contributing to various projects. Samphe then joined Carleton University where they held multiple roles, including Writer in the Carleton Newsroom and Enriched Support Program Facilitator. Samphe also worked as a Research Assistant, conducting interviews and synthesizing data on collaborative projects.

In 2023, Samphe joined Cohere as a Data Quality Specialist and the Montreal International Film Festival as a Video Producer and Marketing Coordinator. With a diverse skill set and experience in various industries, Samphe is well-equipped to handle different roles and responsibilities.

Samphe Ballamingie attended Carleton University from 2017 to 2022. During this period, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree with a major in Sociology and a minor in Environmental Studies.
