Sudip Roy

Sudip Roy has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Sudip started their career as an Undergraduate Student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where they worked from July 2005 to May 2009. Sudip then joined Google as a Summer Intern in May 2011, followed by a Research Internship at Google in May 2012. Sudip later joined Microsoft as a Summer Research Intern in the Extreme Computing Group from May 2013 to August 2013. In 2013, Sudip also worked as a Visiting Student at the University of Washington until July 2014. From August 2009 to July 2014, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Cornell University. Sudip then joined Google again in September 2014 as a Research Scientist and later progressed to the role of Senior Research Scientist in April 2018. Sudip continued their work at Google until October 2021. Currently, Sudip holds the position of Engineering Manager at Cohere, starting in November 2021.

Sudip Roy completed their B.Tech. (Honors) in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, between the years 2005 and 2009. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Cornell University from 2009 to 2014.
