Trushant Kalyanpur

Trushant Kalyanpur has a diverse background in machine learning and data science. Their most recent position is as a Senior Applied Machine Learning Engineer at Cohere, starting in November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at H2O.ai from July 2019 to October 2022, first as a Senior Data Scientist and then as a Senior Data Scientist - Customer Success. At H2O.ai, Trushant focused on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and implemented state-of-the-art NLP BERT models for H2O Driverless AI. Trushant also developed various NLP applications and worked with customers in healthcare, finance, and retail to solve their NLP use cases.

Before joining H2O.ai, Trushant worked at Intel Corporation for many years in different roles. From January 2017 to June 2019, they served as a Senior Data Scientist - Customer Quality and made significant contributions by building a Deep Neural Network (DNN) model for predicting unit failure and developing an anomaly detection model for issue identification. Trushant also deployed a Power BI based analytics solution to improve data and use condition analytics.

During their time at Intel, Trushant also worked as a Hardware Validation Micro-Architect, starting in March 2011 and ending in January 2017. In this role, they excelled in test writing, debug, and validation automation, ensuring zero post-silicon bugs/escapes for eight generations of products. Trushant also had experience with first silicon debug and worked closely with cross-functional teams for enabling Design-for-Test (DFT) features.

Trushant's earliest role at Intel was as a Hardware Design Micro-Architect in the Intel Graphics division from March 2006 to March 2011.

Trushant Kalyanpur obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S) degree in the field of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at North Carolina State University in 2004-2005. In addition to their formal education, Trushant achieved the certification of "Kaggle Competitions Master" from Kaggle in February 2022.
