Nils Jacobson

Nils "Nick" Jacobson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and product management. Currently serving as a Senior Product Line Manager and Senior Engineering Manager at Coherent Inc. since November 2016, Jacobson has previously held significant roles at Coherent | Nufern as Director of Optical Fiber Operations and Director of Process Engineering from July 2000 to November 2016. Prior to that, Jacobson was the Process Control Engineering Manager at Alcatel Telecommunications Cable from August 1997 to July 2000 and held multiple roles including Technical Project Manager and Senior Specialty Products Engineer at SpecTran Communications Fiber Technologies Corporation from January 1989 to August 1997. Jacobson holds an MBA in Operations Management and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, as well as a high school diploma from Pomfret School.
