Brandon Kotaniemi

Brandon Kotaniemi has an extensive work experience in various pharmaceutical and marketing roles. Brandon is currently working as the Senior Vice President - ImmunoOncology Commercial Franchise Head at Coherus BioSciences since August 2021. Prior to this, they were the Head of Portfolio Marketing Strategy (ex-China) at BeiGene from May 2019 to August 2021. Brandon has also held the position of Head of Marketing - Imbruvica at Pharmacyclics, an AbbVie Company from March 2018 to May 2019. In addition, they have worked at Pfizer as a Senior Director/Team Leader, Global Marketing & Commercial Development - Oncology from 2016 to February 2018, and at Medivation as a Senior Director, Global Pipeline Strategy - Oncology from 2016 to 2017. Before that, they held various roles at Gilead Sciences from 2012 to 2016, including Director, Global Oncology Commercial Planning (Asset Lead) and Director, HIV Marketing (Portfolio) - USA. Prior to Gilead Sciences, they worked at Genentech in different capacities from 2003 to 2012, including US National Team Leader - Immunology - Advisory & Thought Leader Services, Group Product Manager - Rituxan Marketing, and Senior Product Manager - Herceptin Marketing. Their early career includes roles at AstraZeneca, where they worked as a District Sales Manager - Oncology, Professional Promotions Manager - HCP Marketing, Associate Product Manager - Portfolio Marketing, and Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist from 1997 to 2003. Brandon also has experience at Kellogg Company as a Marketing Specialist - Gardenburger from 1996 to 1997.

Brandon Kotaniemi completed a PRIE part-time program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2011. In 2009, they attended The University of Chicago Booth School of Business for a course on Building and Implementing Growth Strategies/Strategic Leadership. Brandon obtained a B.A. with Honors in International Studies & Spanish Literature & Business Administration from the University of Oregon in 1996. Additionally, in 1994, they studied International Business at Universidad de las Américas Puebla.
