John J. Higginson

John J. Higginson is an accomplished technology executive currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Curriculum Associates since February 2024, where the focus is on enhancing educational technology for K–8 students. Additionally, John holds advisory roles in technology and AI at Rival Insurance Technology and as a board observer at Zengines. Since January 2017, John has been an angel investor and advisor at HPA, the largest angel group in the Midwest. Previous experience includes serving as CTO at Chief until February 2024, and as Chief Product and Technology Officer at Groupon until November 2021. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws in IT and Privacy Law from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and a B.A. from Northern Illinois University, alongside an executive education from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
