Gary Purpura is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in tax strategy and compliance across various sectors. Currently serving as the Tax Practice Leader for the Northeast Region at CohnReznick LLP since 2015, Gary previously held the position of Managing Partner at TaxOps from 2012 to 2015, where responsibilities included assisting partnerships and corporations with tax strategies and compliance. Gary also spent over two decades at Ernst & Young LLP, culminating in a role as Lead Tax Partner, driving business for Fortune 500, middle-market, and start-up clients. With a track record of leading large teams and managing significant client portfolios, Gary has a comprehensive educational background with an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law, a JD from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, and a BS in Accounting from Seton Hall University.
