Courtney Simmons E. currently serves as an Academic & Regulatory Advisory Council Member at Coinbase Asset Management and has held the position of Senior Advisor at the National Institute for Civil Discourse since June 2021. Previously, Courtney was on the Honorary Advisory Committee of the Leadership Council for Women in National Security and served as an Academic & Regulatory Advisory Council Member at One River Asset Management. From June 2017 to January 2021, Courtney was the General Counsel at the Central Intelligence Agency and was a partner at Kellogg, Hansen, Todd, Figel & Frederick, PLLC for nearly a decade prior. Courtney's earlier career included significant roles at the U.S. Department of Justice, the Office of the Vice President, and the Office of Counsel to the President. Courtney graduated from Yale Law School and holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Economics from Washington and Lee University.
