Goutham Buchi

Goutham Buchi is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Coinbase since September 2018, where Goutham leads the Retail App and Growth teams. Prior to Coinbase, Goutham co-founded and served as CEO of MySycamore, a mobile learning platform, from March 2016 to August 2018, successfully selling the platform to various on-demand companies. Goutham also worked at Coursera as a Software Engineer in the Growth team from September 2014 to March 2016, focusing on technologies that enhance user acquisition and engagement. Earlier experience includes serving as an Engineering Manager at Bloomberg LP from August 2007 to September 2014, where Goutham managed trading systems and led development efforts for Fixed Income workflows. Goutham began with Bloomberg as an intern in 2006, working on integrated portfolio analytics. Goutham holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, obtained in 2007.
