Javier Phon Zhee Kai

Javier Phon Zhee Kai has a diverse range of work experience in various fields. Javier is currently working as a Software Engineer in the Trading department at Coinhako. Previously, they served as a Teaching Assistant for a software engineering course at the National University of Singapore, where their responsibilities included tutoring students, grading exams, and providing feedback.

Prior to that, Javier worked as a Software Engineer at Success IT Consultancy & Services, where they played a key role in developing and maintaining the frontend and backend of the company's SAAS product. Javier also spearheaded the backend development and design for the master control app.

Javier also has experience as a Software Engineer at Powerhouse AI, where they worked on software engineering projects. In addition, they worked as a Procurement Assistant at PSA Marine, where they were responsible for converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders, sourcing suppliers, and ensuring cost-efficiency.

Before venturing into the software industry, Javier served in the Singapore Armed Forces as an Artillery Operations Specialist. Javier commanded a platoon and was in charge of firearms and ammunition. Javier also participated in national events and overseas training exercises.

Javier Phon Zhee Kai completed their high school education at Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2012 to 2015. Javier then attended Hwa Chong Institution from 2016 to 2017, where they studied Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Economics. Javier went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Management at the National University of Singapore, starting in 2020 and expected to graduate in 2025. In 2022, they also studied Computer Science at Chalmers University of Technology for one year. Additionally, Javier has obtained three certifications: Orbital - Apollo 11 (Advanced) from the National University of Singapore in August 2021, DS102: Data Analytics With Python from Hackwagon Academy in August 2020, and DS101: Introduction To Python Programming from Hackwagon Academy in May 2020.
