Jie Gao

Jie Gao has a diverse work experience in the finance sector. From 2010 to 2012, Jie worked as a Summer Intern at Citi. Following this, from 2012 to 2014, Jie was involved in Ernst & Young's Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice, providing technical assistance and insights to large organizations. In 2020, Jie joined Headspace as the Executive Vice President of Finance, where they were responsible for overseeing financial planning, reporting, and risk management. Most recently, Jie joined Coinhako in 2023 as the Finance Director, where they oversee financial operations, implement financial policies and controls, and provide strategic financial planning.

Jie Gao's education history begins with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Pennsylvania, which was obtained from 2006 to 2010. Following that, Jie pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with specializations in Finance, Analytic Finance, and Strategy from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, completing it from 2010 to 2012. Most recently, in the year 2020, Jie attended the University of Southern California to study Real Estate Technology and Applications.

In addition to their educational degrees, Jie Gao has also obtained several certifications. They are a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) from the CFA Institute, with the year of obtaining this certification being 2022. Jie also holds a certification in Blockchain in Business from Columbia Business School, received in 2021. Furthermore, Jie is a Certified Public Accountant, granted by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) in 2011. Lastly, Jie has an unspecified certification in Financial Risk Management from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
