Raina Petrova

Raina Petrova has held various positions in the tech industry since 2000. Raina began their career as a Web Designer for Savanto Inc., followed by a Web Designer role at Unilever HPC-NA. In 2002, they held three positions simultaneously, Web Master at the School of Engineering of University of Bridgeport, Independent Contractor for Precise Solutions Inc., and Web Production Consultant for ESPN Affiliate Zone. From 2003 to 2016, Petrova served in various roles at Selective Insurance, including ITS Application Manager, ITS Team Lead, ITS Application Specialist, ITS Senior Application Developer, and ITS Application Developer. In 2016, they were VP Application Development - Commercial Systems at United Bank, and in 2018 they were Director, Software Development - Kaman Aerospace Group at Kaman Corporation. Since 2020, Petrova has been Chief Operating Officer of Ahladini Foundation, and in 2021 they took on the role of Head of Engineering and Director of Engineering, Payments and Developer Experience at Coinme.

Raina Petrova has a diverse educational background. Raina began their educational journey in 1990 at Sofia Mathematics High School, where they earned their High School degree in 1996. Raina then attended Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 1999, followed by a Master of Science in Information and Communication Technologies in 2001. In 2003, they earned a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Bridgeport. Finally, in 2009, they earned a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University School of Business. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: Microservices Foundations from LinkedIn in December 2020, and ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (ITILF) from EXIN in August 2014.
