Kerstin Lähteenmäki

Kerstin Lähteenmäki has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kerstin is currently working as a Product Owner at Coinmotion, where they are responsible for the development of transaction-related products. Kerstin'srole involves engaging with stakeholders to understand business needs and translating them into technical requirements for the scrum team.

Prior to Coinmotion, Kerstin worked at Nordea as a Product Manager and Agile Product Owner, focusing on financial crime prevention and developing secure and user-friendly authentication methods. At OP Financial Group, they served as a Development Manager, leading the development of a new insurance platform and managing the backlog for an external team. This experience sparked their interest in agile ways of working.

Kerstin also has experience in the insurance industry, having worked at Folksam Non-Life Insurance Company Ltd. In various roles, they were responsible for personal accident, travel, and health insurance, including tasks such as producing terms and conditions, monitoring profitability, creating pricing models, and setting requirements for technical development. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Assistant Underwriter at Folksam and as an Insurance Account Handler at Aktia Non-Life Insurance Company Ltd.

Before transitioning to the insurance industry, Kerstin was a Doctoral Student at the University of Helsinki and a Geologist at Endomines AB.

Kerstin Lähteenmäki obtained a Master's degree in Geology/Earth Science, General from Helsinki University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their academic education, they have also obtained certifications such as the Higher insurance examination from the Financial and Insurance Institute FINVA in May 2016, the Well-being at Work Card from The Centre for Occupational Safety in March 2015, and an Insurance examination from the Financial and Insurance Institute FINVA in an undisclosed month of 2015.
