James Burke

James Burke is an experienced economics peer tutor at Colgate University, where responsibilities include guiding students through introductory economics coursework and devising effective tutoring strategies. In addition to this role, James serves as the Technology Group Manager for the Colgate Investment Group, focusing on market research and stock pitch preparation. A previous extern at Cognizant, James developed generative AI models for finance while delivering technical insights on AI applications in business. As Vice President of Papilio Education, James managed a volunteer tutoring network for K-6 students, and has also held roles as a lifeguard and mover. Notably, James founded OneIsland Fund, leading initiatives to procure and distribute essential medical supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Economics at Colgate University, James also completed coursework at Harvard Business School Online.
