Renee Madison

Vice President for Equity and Inclusion at Colgate University

Renee Madison is the current Vice President for Equity & Inclusion at Colgate University. Prior to their current role, they served as the Director of Human Resources for the City of Indianapolis from May 2019 to October 2021. Before their time with the City of Indianapolis, they were the Senior Advisor to the President for Diversity and Compliance at DePauw University from September 2014 to May 2019.

From January 2004 to December 2014, Ms. Madison worked as the Associate Director of Enforcement for the NCAA. In this role, they were responsible for investigating potential rules violations and overseeing the enforcement process. Prior to their time at the NCAA, Ms. Madison served as a Deputy Prosecutor for the Marion County Prosecutor's Office from January 2002 to December 2004. In this role, they prosecuted cases of domestic violence.

Renee Madison's educational career began with their earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from DePauw University. Renee then went on to earn a Doctor of Law from the Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

Renee Madison works with Karl Clauss - Vice President for Advancement, Lesleigh Cushing - Provost & Dean of the Faculty, and Nicki Moore - Vice President and Director of Athletics; Director of the Division of PERA. Renee Madison reports to Brian W. Casey, President.
