Jiapeng Chen

Jiapeng Chen is a Principal Scientist at Colgate-Palmolive since April 2023, with a strong background in bioinformatics and genomics. Previously, Jiapeng served as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Viome, where significant contributions included building bioinformatics metrics for microbiome sample quality and maintaining extensive bioinformatics pipelines in AWS cloud systems. Additionally, Jiapeng worked as a Research Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, studying genomic biomarkers in pancreatic cancer and the immune profile of breast tumors. Jiapeng completed a Ph.D. in Genome Sciences/Genomics at the University of Sydney, where research focused on pathogen genomes and allele diversity, and held earlier positions as a Research Assistant and Bioinformatics Engineer in various institutions.
