Hareen Kandamby

Hareen Kandamby has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. Beginning in 2004, they worked as a Youth Officer at the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society until 2008. Hareen then joined Cathay Pacific Airways as a Cargo Officer from 2011 to 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Procurement Executive at Dipped Products PLC. In 2017, they worked as a Contract Manager/Supervisor at MENZIES GROUP LIMITED until 2018. In 2019, they joined McElligotts Group as a Group Accountant until 2021. During the same period, they also worked as a Group Assistant Accountant at McElligotts Partners Pty Ltd. From 2021 to 2023, they held the roles of Contracts & Procurement Specialist and then Commercial Accountant at Grange Resources. Currently, Hareen Kandamby is working as a Commercial & Procurement Lead at Coliban Water.

Hareen Kandamby completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University from 2008 to 2010. From 2012 to 2014, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management at the same university. In 2016, Hareen enrolled in La Trobe University for a Masters in Professional Accounting, which they completed in 2018. They further enhanced their skills in accounting by undertaking a Professional Year Program at Performance Education from 2018 to 2019. Hareen is currently pursuing a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting at Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand starting from 2021. They have also obtained various certifications in subjects such as project management, financial statement analysis, emotional intelligence, and time management from LinkedIn. In addition to their formal education, Hareen has also pursued additional training in financial modeling and Power BI from Access Analytic. They are currently undertaking a Lean Leader SWE program from TMEC - Tasmanian Minerals, Manufacturing and Energy Council, specializing in Lean Six Sigma.
