Sarah Schoemann is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the College of Charleston, a position held since August 2021. With extensive experience in academia, Sarah has also served as a Research Assistant at the College of Computing at Georgia Tech since 2016 and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2014. Additionally, Sarah co-organizes the Different Games Conference, which began in September 2012. Previous roles include Graduate Assistant to the Game Innovation Lab at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University from 2011 to 2013 and Adjunct Lecturer positions in Game Studies and Game Design at Hunter College and Queens College, respectively, in early 2013. Sarah holds a Ph.D. in Digital Media with a focus on Game Design/Game Studies from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Integrated Digital Media from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Arts from Tufts University.
