Barbara Ives

Barbara Ives has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Barbara began their career in 2003 as the Commanding Officer at NMORA Headquarters in Stennis Space Center. From 2008 to 2015, they served as the Dean of Academics at St. Mary's Ryken College Preparatory Catholic High School. In 2015, they joined College of Southern Maryland as the Director of Strategic Partnerships. In 2018, they briefly took on the role of Interim Vice President and Dean of Prince Frederick Campus at the same institution. Since 2015, they have also been the Chief Executive Officer at GI Enterprises LLC, where they manage educational solutions and grant management for academia and industry. Recently, they have taken on the additional role of Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the daily operations and administrative requirements of the company.

Barbara Ives earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysics from the U.S. Naval Academy Annapolis MD in the years 1976-1980. Barbara later pursued two Master of Arts degrees from Notre Dame of Maryland University, specializing in Leadership in Education (2007-2010) and Educational Administration and Supervision (2009-2011). Barbara also holds a certification in Secondary Education Mathematics Teaching from the Maryland State Department of Education.
