Julie Walton has a diverse background, with experience in conflict resolution and mediation. Julie Walton earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations from Florida International University, where they studied from 2008 to 2010. In 2012, they began taking courses towards a Graduate Certificate in World Religion, Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University. Julie also obtained a certification as a Certified Mediator from Community Mediation Maryland in the year 2015.
