Tenured Associate Professor at College of Southern Maryland

Rachael Bateman is a Tenured Associate Professor at the College of Southern Maryland, where tenure was achieved after serving in various roles, including Associate Professor and Assistant Professor since July 2020. Additionally, Rachael has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus since June 2019, teaching multiple biology courses with high student satisfaction. Rachael's extensive experience includes an ongoing role as an Educational Consultant and AP Environmental Science FRQ Reader for Educational Testing Service since 2010, and previous positions at the Charles County Board of Education, where Rachael served as a Biology Teacher, Science Department Chair, Instructional Coach, and more from 2006 to 2020. Rachael also taught as an Adjunct Instructor of Zoology at the College of Southern Maryland between 2011 and 2018. Rachael holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical and Life Sciences from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baldwin Wallace University.
