Tonya Buchan is an experienced educator currently serving as Senior Faculty Developer and Teaching Effectiveness Initiative Program Manager at Colorado State University since January 2012. In this role, Tonya collaborates with faculty to implement interactive teaching strategies, focusing on high impact educational methods such as adaptive courseware and active learning. Additionally, Tonya has served as a part-time instructor at the College of Southern Nevada, teaching online Cultural Anthropology, and held positions as an Instructional Technologist at Nevada State College and Adjunct Faculty at Grand Canyon University. Tonya's earlier career includes consulting for workforce development at NV Energy and technical writing for CREW Technical Services/Eli Lilly. Tonya holds a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Purdue University and a Bachelor's degree in Social Science from the University of Northern Colorado.
