Grade Level Lead at Collegiate Academies

Yolanda Champion currently serves as a Co-Teacher at the National Education Equity Lab since August 2023. From February 2020, Yolanda has held multiple roles at Collegiate Academies, including Grade Level Lead and Instructional Coach, in addition to serving as a Social Studies Teacher and Credit Recovery Coordinator. Prior experience includes the position of Assistant Director Of Education at Blue Cliff College-Metairie from August 2018 to February 2020 and Academic Manager at Job Corps from February 2016 to August 2018, where responsibilities involved supporting teachers, organizing development workshops, and conducting classroom observations. Yolanda's earlier experience features teaching 3rd grade at Celerity Dalton Charter School and leading educational initiatives as Director and Lead Teacher at Chosen Generation Community Outreach Organization. Yolanda's career began as an Adult Education Instructor for the City of Baton Rouge/GED Program from January 2008 to November 2010. Academic qualifications include a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Southern University at New Orleans and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Social Work from Florida State University.
