Kate Buss

Kate Buss has a strong background in GIS and business systems management. Kate started their career in 2004 as an Environmental Management Assistant at the Niagara County Center for Economic Development. From there, they moved to Bergmann in 2005 and held various roles, including GIS Analyst, Senior GIS Analyst, Assistant Project Manager, and GIS Manager/Senior Project Manager. During their time at Bergmann, they were responsible for managing geospatial projects, coordinating technical support, designing and managing databases, and developing custom GIS software. Kate also led the implementation of new technology and solutions to improve business processes. In 2019, they became the Business Systems Manager, where they were in charge of major business systems like ERP, CRM, and HR & Payroll Management. Kate also led the Data Analytics initiative using Microsoft's Power BI platform. Kate currently works at Colliers Engineering & Design as the Senior Manager of Integrations (M&A) and Principal. Their role involves leading and overseeing the integration program of acquired companies into CED's operations.

Kate Buss has a diverse education history. Kate first attended Fairport High School from 1994 to 1997. Kate then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies and Economics from Binghamton University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Continuing their education, Kate obtained a Master's degree in Urban Planning and Geographic Information Systems from the University at Buffalo, attending from 2002 to 2004. In addition to their academic achievements, Kate also holds certifications such as Procore Certified in Project Manager (Core Tools) from Procore Technologies, obtained in 2020, and the GIS Professional (GISP) certification from the GIS Certification Institute, obtained in 2011.
