Ryan Leonard

Ryan Leonard has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Ryan is currently working as the Market Lead for Rail and Transit Survey Services at Colliers Engineering & Design since March 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Business Development Manager for the Rail Segment at Leica Geosystems part of Hexagon from February 2018 to March 2023. Ryan also has experience in the consulting industry, where they served as the Director of Rail/Transit Services at Maser Consulting from November 2017 to February 2018, and as the Rail/Transit Business Manager from December 2011 to November 2017. Before entering the consulting field, they worked as a Sales Manager at Kara Company, Inc. from August 2002 to December 2011. Additionally, Ryan has experience in the public sector, having worked as a Geographic Information Systems Specialist for the City of Warrenville from April 2001 to August 2002, and as a Geographic Information Systems Intern at the Village of River Forest from December 2000 to July 2001. Ryan also served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Petty Officer Second Class Quartermaster from February 1995 to June 1999.

Ryan Leonard earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Northern Illinois University in 2001-2002. Prior to that, they obtained an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from the College of DuPage in 1999-2000. In 1991-1992, they studied Forrestry at Western Illinois University, although they did not complete a degree in that field.
