Omar Sheikh

Omar Sheikh is an accomplished mechanical engineer with extensive experience in various engineering roles. At Collins Aerospace since August 2019, Omar has advanced from Principal Engineer to Chief Mechanical Engineer, specializing in manufacturing. Prior experience includes working as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Oakmount Control Systems Limited, focusing on automated solutions and collaborative robotics. Omar has also held positions as a Contract Project Designer at Dura Manufacturing Limited and a Product Design Engineer at Westomatic Vending Services Ltd, where skills in SolidWorks and product development were utilized. A strong academic foundation in Mechanical and Materials Engineering was established at the University of Plymouth, complemented by early career experiences that included research initiatives and self-employment in the musical instruments sector.
