Virgil Self

Virgil Self is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in supplier development and manufacturing management. Currently serving as Senior Manager Global Supplier Development at Collins Aerospace since November 2016, Virgil leads a global team focused on delivery, quality, and customer service while defining and tracking key performance indicators. Prior to this, Virgil was the Supplier Performance Manager at Collins Aerospace, where responsibilities included promoting continuous improvement and engaging key suppliers to drive performance enhancements. Additional experience includes roles as Production Manager at Serta Simmons Bedding, where P&L management and continuous improvement initiatives were prioritized, and various positions at Nissan Motor Corporation, ranging from Logistics Manager to Tool & Die Supervisor, where strategic planning and operational excellence were key focuses. Virgil holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge.
