David Ollin Pesqueira

David Ollin Pesqueira is an experienced urban planner currently employed at Collins Engineers, Inc. since July 2022, following a role as a Research Assistant at the UIC Great Cities Institute. Previously, David served as Policy Manager for the State of Illinois, where responsibilities included developing legislative agendas on labor rights and economic development, alongside monitoring state-level policy developments. Earlier experiences include positions as a Legislative Aide and Research Assistant/Intern at Metropolitan Family Services, where David focused on research for the President and CEO and supported legal aid efforts for crime victims. David's career began with internships at Greater Pilsen Economic Development Association and Alianza Americas, accentuating skills in community development and advocacy. David holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning & Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in International Politics & Economics from Middlebury College.
