Candy Llewellyn Edd

Candy Llewellyn, EdD, currently serves as a School Principal at Colonial Heights Public Schools since August 2013, having previously held positions as Assistant Principal and Instructional Specialist. Prior experience includes serving as an Elementary Reading Specialist at Powhatan County Public Schools, where responsibilities encompassed providing reading interventions, conducting training for over 100 faculty, and overseeing the reading program for grades PK-4. Llewellyn also participated in various educational teams and initiatives, such as the Virginia Alternative Assessment Program scoring team and the school-wide Differentiation Team. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master's of Science in Literacy and Culture from Longwood University. Additionally, adjunct faculty experience at John Tyler Community College includes teaching Reading in the Content Area.
