Cara Standifer

Cara Standifer is a seasoned marketing professional with extensive experience in strategic marketing and communications. Currently serving as a Marketing Strategist at Unum since January 2024, Standifer previously held the position of Chief Marketing Officer and Marketing Director at the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga from January 2017 to January 2024, where management and strategic direction included digital content marketing, brand management, and crisis communication, among other responsibilities. Prior experience encompasses roles as a Senior Communications Consultant at Unum, an Account Executive at Clear Channel Outdoor, and a Media Buyer at The Johnson Group. Standifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, earned in 2001.
