Eric D. App, MBA has extensive work experience in the museum industry. Eric D. is currently serving as the Director of Museum Operations at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, where they oversee the operations of the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum and the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum. In this role, they are responsible for managing museum education, public programming, public performance programming, special events planning, logistics, and operations. Eric also has experience as a Museum Consultant and as the Deputy Director of George Mason's Gunston Hall. Additionally, they served as the Director of Museum Operations at both The American Civil War Museum and The Museum of the Confederacy, where they led board committee meetings, managed capital projects, developed donor relationships, hosted fundraising events, built partnerships with local museums and universities, and represented the museums through public speaking engagements and hosting high-profile visitors. Eric began their career as a Tour Guide at various historic sites and museums, including Shirley Plantation, Sherwood Forest Plantation, The Valentine, and The Museum of the Confederacy.

Eric D. App, MBA earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from LSU Shreveport in 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History and Art at Virginia Tech from 1989 to 1994.
