Are Paulsrud has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology and consulting industries. Are is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Color Line since June 2020. Prior to this, they held positions at Storebrand, starting as a Business Developer for Banking Services from August 2013 to March 2015, then as the Banking Technology Officer and Head of IT from March 2015 to September 2017, and finally as the Head of IT Service Management from September 2017 to June 2020. Before their time at Storebrand, they worked as a Senior Manager at Sprint Consulting from April 2012 to August 2013. Earlier in their career, Are worked at Nets Group, where they served as a Manager of Business Analysis from August 2007 to April 2010 and later as a Senior Manager of Strategy from April 2010 to April 2012. Are began their professional journey at Accenture as a Management Consultant from an unspecified date in 2004 to July 2007.

Are Paulsrud attended Oslo kystskipperskole in 2016, where they received a Deck officer D5L degree. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2004, they studied at the BI Norwegian Business School and obtained a Masters in Business and Economics (Siviløkonom) with a specialization in Strategy.
