Ian McCullough

Ian McCullough, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Program Chair for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at Colorado Mountain College, where responsibilities include teaching, curriculum development, and leading a professional GIS certificate program. Concurrently, McCullough serves as a Landscape Conservation Scientist with Osa Conservation, focusing on biodiversity resilience in Central America, particularly Costa Rica. Previous roles include Senior Scientist at Spatial Informatics Group, LLC, and a Research Specialist/Instructor/Postdoctoral Research Associate at Michigan State University, where studies centered on climate change and freshwater ecosystems. McCullough's academic journey includes a PhD in Environmental Science & Management from UC Santa Barbara, an MS in Ecology from the University of Maine, and a BA in Environmental Studies from Colby College.
